Welcoming Our New Principals for the 2017-2018 School Yearsbrobst
At its March meeting, the School Board approved the recommendation the Finance Committee brought forward on behalf of the Principal Hiring Committee and is very pleased to announce that Ms. Carolyn Farrell will serve as the new Richfield Campus Principal and Mr. Dan Woodle will assume the Principal position at our Bloomington Campus for the 2017-18 school year!
Ms. Farrell brings several years of proven administrative experience in both general and special education to this new role, in which she will oversee the replication of our high-performing K-5 program and ensure it is implemented with fidelity at our Richfield Campus. In addition, Ms. Farrell will work closely with staff to maintain the distinct culture of our Middle School while advancing its success. We are fortunate to continue benefiting from Ms. Farrell’s knowledge, passion, and commitment as an instructional leader and coach and we congratulate her as she prepares for the unique challenges and exciting opportunities of her new position!
Mr. Woodle was a classroom elementary school teacher for several years prior to serving as a Principal for the past four years at a district public school in Nebraska. As an Administrator, Mr. Woodle successfully implemented a school-wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports program designed to improve student culture and behavior in a diverse learning environment. Additionally, Mr. Woodle effectively led efforts to coordinate curriculum, engage parents, and mentor teachers. A native Minnesotan, Mr. Woodle is excited to be returning home with his wife to be nearer to their families and we look forward to welcoming them!
Both Ms. Farrell and Mr. Woodle will work alongside our Executive Director, Mr. Schlueter, and in partnership with our tremendous teachers, staff, and parents to continue our growth and success as an award-winning, charter public, Classical Education school. We are so fortunate to have such strong, positive, and dedicated teachers and leaders and are truly grateful for the students and families that make up our remarkable school community. We look forward to welcoming and celebrating our new Principals at a reception to be scheduled later this year.
Thank you for all you do to make Seven Hills an excellent school and Happy Spring!
