BD Veritor Test Kit Letter to Families

Dear SHPA Families,

To help keep your child healthy and prevent the spread of COVID-19, Seven Hills Preparatory
Academy is providing free at-home rapid tests through the State of Minnesota’s free COVID-19
testing options for all school, child care and early education settings. This email is a
notification that your child may return home with an at-home rapid test kit.
We will determine that your child needs to test for COVID-19 based on one or more of the
following reasons:

1. Confirmed close contact with someone who has COVID-19;
2. Potential exposure to someone who has COVID-19; and/or,
3. Your child is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.

If it is determined that your child should get tested for COVID-19, they will be sent home with
a BD Veritor test kit and an instructional flyer to help you assist your child in completing the
test. If you still have questions after receiving the test kit and the instructional document, please

The BD Veritor nasal swab at-home test is a rapid antigen test. This test can be used by anyone
over the age of 2. The package provided includes two tests per box so the person being tested
can take a second test between 24 and 48 hours after the first test.

To take this test, download the ScanWell Health App on an iPhone, Samsung Galaxy or
Google Pixel smartphone. The app will guide you through the testing process. The test will take
about 20 minutes to complete. Find the app at the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
