Charter School Day at the Capitol!

Last week, Ms. Wessman, Ms. Banitt, and Mr. Thao joined School Board Treasurer, Mike Meyer, and Seven Hills Executive Director, Mr. Schlueter, to advocate on behalf of charter schools at the Minnesota Association of Charter Schools’ annual Charter School Day at the Capitol event. This proved to be our most successful effort to date as we were able to schedule visits with Representatives Michael Howard (50A, RC) and Andrew Carlson (50B, BC) as well as Senator Melissa Halvorson – Wiklund (50, RC/BC)–see photo below. We shared stories about our great school, thanked them for their support, and brought proposed charter school-related legislation to their attention.
