We live our value of strong citizenship by being active in the community.
Because of the value we place on citizenship, SHPA models this by participating in community events. Some are initiated by us, others are hosted by the City of Bloomington or the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce. They include contributions to the local food shelf, visiting and performing for elderly members of nearby church community, Bloomington Heritage Days. We participate in Adopt-a-Woodlot program, public park cleanups, Feed My Starving Children, Toys for Tots, and Charter Day at the Minnesota State Capitol.

2018-2019 Sixth Grade Summer Social
July 18 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
This is an invitation for parents and students of the 2018-2019 Sixth Grade class to join us on Wednesday, July 18th from 5:00pm – 7:00pm for our Annual Sixth Grade Summer Social. This is a great event for students and families to understand the daily routine, procedures, and expectations of a SHPA middle school. We hope to provide guidance in navigating typical issues that arise for 6th graders and their parents. We also strive to convey our excitement and enthusiasm in welcoming these new scholars to our great community while relieving some of the anxiety that accompanies this transition.
