Inclement Weather Communication Process

In the event of inclement weather that causes a school closing or a late start, those delays will be announced on KARE 11, WCCO, Fox 9, KSTP, school website, and school Facebook Page. Any such change to the regular school day due to inclement weather will also be effective for the school’s childcare program. Parents should specifically look for SHPA listings on TV/station announcements for school closing information because we are independent of Bloomington and Richfield Public School Districts.

You will also receive an email, text, or phone call from SHPA to the contact information you provided the school. Inclement weather often produces delayed pickup and drop off times for bus transportation. This cannot be avoided and we appreciate your flexibility and understanding when inclement weather interrupts our daily schedule.
