I hope you and your family are doing well. We are seeing a glimpse of an official warm up outside. It sure does help melt some of our icy spots but our students will miss the snow hills and forts that may soon melt away. I have some helpful updates for you. This year, Seven Hills has officially updated our school names through the Minnesota Department of Education. Although we will surely continue to nick name ourselves BC or RC (which is just fine), these are the official names of each campus:

At last week’s School Board meeting, the 2023-24 Administrative Organizational Chart was passed starting July 1, 2023. The Administrative Leadership Team and Executive Committee have been working on the best way to move forward with the role of the Interim Executive Director (ED) for the 23-24 school year. As you may know, there will be a significant number of Executive Director vacancies for the upcoming school year. As we see more turnover in education, administration is experiencing a similar turnover. It was decided that instead of posting for a new ED for the next school year, it will be important to work with our internal admin team to support the ED role through their historical knowledge and expertise of Seven Hills. Therefore, it was proposed that I will continue in the role of Interim ED for the 23-24 school year, but the board will restructure my duties to include a more rounded out admin leadership team. Therefore, Seven Hills will be posting in the spring for an Human Resource/Facilities Manager. Ms. Docken will be increasing her role from Special Education Director to Special Services Director. I will remain the Richfield Campus Elementary Principal but I will not be returning as the Middle School Principal. I have so much enjoyed my time getting to know and work with the Middle School staff and students and I hope to continue to still be a part of this program through my support as the ED next year. This means that we will be posting for a Middle School Principal for the next school year. We will also be posting this spring for a part time Executive Assistant to assist the ED.
