Putting In To Practice the Classical Model of Strong CitizenshipKrista Hong
The Student Ambassadors at the Bloomington Campus were able to participate in an exciting opportunity. They put together over 350 sandwiches for the Minneapolis Sandwich Project. The Sandwich Project was established to help feed 150 homeless people in Minneapolis as many times a year as possible, with the ultimate goal of doing it every day of the year. Today, the Sandwich Project helps to feed about 4,500 people per week through various shelters and food shelves! Our Student Ambassadors are helping to create a change in our own local community.
Our thanks to Jennifer Lockhart, Ruth Hansen, Jordan Smith (pictured) who guide and inspired our students in giving back to our community.
Thanks also to Hazel Burnside (pictured). Mrs. Burnside is an Educational Assistant who assisted with the program and helped get meat donations for the sandwiches.
