School Delivery Models:Tou Thao
Hybrid Group A and Hybrid Group B:
Each week, students in both groups will participate in a combination of in-person learning and distance learning by alternating between days. Monday through Friday, students will need to log into their Google Classroom at 8:40am. The purpose of the morning meeting/advisory is for the student to check in with his or her teacher and classmates. The teacher will provide an activity that encourages and inspires your student for the day. The teacher will also take your child’s attendance.
The Hybrid model will allow opportunities to have on campus learning with teachers in person. On days that students are learning at home, the goal is to provide real-time learning through live (synchronous) learning where the student will be able to join what is happening on campus through a live feed from their google classroom into the actual classroom. The live sessions will only begin with the morning meeting/advisory the first week and gradually, the teachers will provide more information on joining a live lesson. Teachers will always record their live lessons and upload them to the google classroom so your student can view at their convenience.
Students will eat lunch in their homeroom or main classroom. Students that ordered hot lunch will receive a bag lunch delivered to them by the Food Service Staff. Students can also bring a home lunch. Our new policy states that students can bring nut products in their lunch. Teachers will ensure that students are remaining in their assigned table or desk spot in the classroom socially distanced from each student. We will set protocols for students to wipe down their table/desk space before and after. And of course, we will be building hand washing into the daily schedule.
Please see a sample of a weekly schedule below.

Your student will be assigned a Distance Learning teacher. For middle school, your child will have a Distance Learning teacher for Math, Language Arts, Gym, Social Studies, and Science. For Art, Music, and Latin, the on campus teacher will create a Google Classroom for your student to access lessons. Expect to have a more rigorous schedule than Distance Learning this past spring. Students will have 5-6 classes per day with a break for lunch and study hall. Schedules will be shared the week of August 31st.
