Seven Hills Preparatory Academy (SHPA) is a free, public charter school that does not require admission tests, no specific academic requirements for applying, and no tuition. Admission is open to all students who reside in Minnesota. SHPA accepts enrollment applications in all grades, however, not all grades may have openings. If applying to our elementary school grade levels, you can apply at both campuses.

Thank you for considering Seven Hills Preparatory Academy (SHPA) for your student(s) educational journey! We are still accepting interest applications for the 25-26 school year. Since we have past January 15, 2025, you will receive your wait list number at the end of February 2025.

Important Enrollment Reminders for 2025 – 2026:
KINDERGARTEN AGE REQUIREMENT: All 2025 – 2026 Kindergarten applicants must be Five (5) years old, on or before September 1, 2025 in order to qualify for Kindergarten, no exceptions. SHPA does not conduct screening for students younger than the date listed above.
APPLYING THROUGH SCHOOLMINT: Start the SHPA enrollment process by creating one SchoolMint account for your family; you can add multiple children under the one account. Applying through SchoolMint is the first step in our enrollment process and does not guarantee a spot at SHPA at any grade level.
DOUBLE CHECK: Please carefully check the school campus and school year for which you are applying. We continue to take current school year interest applications (2024 -2025) in tandem with our 2025 – 2026 school year. SHPA is not responsible for errors on applications in SchoolMint.
JANUARY 15, 2025/11:59PM: Any applications received AFTER January 15, 2025 will be NOT be a part of the lottery. Post open enrollment applications will be accepted and placed at the bottom of the established waiting list in the order in which it was received.
2025 – 2026 SHPA SCHOOLMINT WAIT LISTS: The 2025 – 2026 SHPA grade level wait lists are established by the running of the lottery and by those applications received AFTER January 15, 2025. It is important to note that your student’s “Application Status,” will remain in “Submitted,” status until the lottery results are released at the end of February 2025. The 2025 – 2026 SHPA wait lists are only good for one enrollment cycle: February 2025 – June 2026.
GRADES 1 THROUGH 8 WAIT LISTS: Please note that our grade level wait lists beyond Kindergarten are not utilized until late spring/early summer if/when we have confirmed grade-level vacancies.
