Seven Hills Preparatory Academy (SHPA) is a free, public charter school that does not require admission tests, no specific academic requirements for applying, and no tuition. Admission is open to all students who reside in Minnesota. SHPA accepts enrollment applications in all grades, however, not all grades may have openings. If applying to our elementary school grade levels, you can apply at both campuses.

Thank you for considering Seven Hills Preparatory Academy (SHPA) for your student(s) educational journey! Open enrollment closed on January 15, 2023. We are still accepting applications and they will be placed at the bottom of your respective grade level wait list in the order in which it was received.

Important Enrollment Reminders for 2023 – 2024:
KINDERGARTEN AGE REQUIREMENT: All 2023 – 2024 Kindergarten applicants must be Five (5) years old, on or before September 1, 2023 in order to qualify for Kindergarten, no exceptions. SHPA does not conduct screening for students younger than the date listed above.
APPLYING THROUGH SCHOOLMINT: Start the SHPA enrollment process by creating one SchoolMint account for your family; you can add multiple children under the one account. The 2023 – 2024 Open Enrollment link to SchoolMint will be posted and activated below at 12:01am on November 1, 2022. Applying through SchoolMint is the first step in our enrollment process and does not guarantee a spot at SHPA at any grade level.
DOUBLE CHECK: Please carefully check the school campus and school year for which you are applying. We continue to take current school year applications in tandem with our 2023 – 2024 Open Enrollment season. SHPA is not responsible for errors on applications in SchoolMint.
JANUARY 15, 2023/11:59AM: Any applications received AFTER January 15, 2023 will be NOT be a part of the lottery. These applications will be placed at the bottom of the established waiting list in the order in which it was received.
2023 – 2024 SHPA SCHOOLMINT WAIT LISTS: The 2023 – 2024 SHPA grade level wait lists are established by the running of the lottery and by those applications received AFTER January 15, 2023. The 2023 – 2024 SHPA wait lists are only good for one enrollment cycle: February 2023 – June 2024.

Thank you for considering Seven Hills Preparatory Academy (SHPA) for your student(s) educational journey! Open enrollment for the 2024 - 2025 school year will open at 12:00am on November 1, 2023. If you apply between November 1, 2023 and January 15, 2024, your student(s) application will qualify for our February 2024 lottery. If you apply AFTER January 15, 2024, we will still accept applications. However, those post-open enrollment applications will be placed at the bottom of the respective grade level wait list in the order in which it was received.

GRADES 1 THROUGH 8 WAIT LISTS: Please note that our grade level wait lists beyond Kindergarten are not utilized until late spring/early summer if/when we have confirmed grade-level vacancies.
